“You gave my life back…”

Sometimes, the job is rewarding.

Anne Tamashasky represented a student in a complicated and difficult school disciplinary hearing.  The student is studying to be a doctor and faced expulsion due to allegations of harassment from a former girlfriend.

Following a two-day hearing run by the school’s Title IX Office, the student was found “not responsible” and cleared of all charges. He remains on-track to graduate and pursue his dream to be a surgeon.

After receiving notification from the school, the client sent the following text message to Anne:

Loved working with you! You are incredibly caring and prompt with phone calls and answering my numerous questions. You gave my life back, to become a surgeon to save people’s lives. You are family. Much love to you and your family from me, I am truly grateful for everything you have done for me:) ❤️❤️❤️

We share this message because it made us feel good to make a positive difference in a person’s life. It’s a reminder that clients hire people — not a set of legal skills — and that relationships matter. Our work matters. Anne does great work.
