The Judge in the New Miami speed camera case has ordered New Miami to refund to motorists all fines paid under the unconstitutional speed camera ordinance. Engel and Martin, LLC, along with other attorneys representing motorists suing New Miami for its speed cameras have filed a motion in Butler County Common Plea Court to garnish proceeds the village is collecting from a new speed camera program.
The Dayton Daily News reports that the Village of New Miami will be asking the Ohio Supreme Court to review the ruling in favor of motorists by the Twelfth District Court of Appeals. Denise Callahan writes, “The Village of
